Mitch Winehouse

Mitch Winehouse’s live gigs show a real depth of musical knowledge and impeccable taste, stemming from his young days in the East End of London. "My father owned a barber shop on Commercial Street and my mother had a hairdressers at the back of it," he says. "All I remember since day one was music. Jazz, swing, lots of Sinatra!

Mitch’s debut album ‘Rush of Love’ is jazz, swing, crooning if you like; this is the Winehouse musical DNA. The music comes from a perfectly natural place, revealing the roots of his own, as well as his daughter's, musical inspiration.

He entertains audiences with a selection of classic jazz songs including Please Be Kind, How Insensitive and You Go To My Head. Alongside classic jazz standards, he joins a list of illustrious artists from Elton John to Matt Monro by performing songs written especially by Tony Hiller.
